Anderson casement window contacts

I got a PM from someone about my anderson casement window contacts and wasn't sure how to PM back with photos, so I thought I would post a topic.

I bought ademco 943wh mini contacts. like these:

I removed the bottom molding from the window and drilled down through the wood sill. I cut a small section of vinyl off and screwed down the end with the wire lead.

I cut the screw tab off the other contact with a sharp razor and mounted that to the window. Make sure to line them up and make sure it is low enough to clear the molding but high enough to clear the other contact.

When I was done I shot some low expanding foam in the hole. I have not had a problem in 5 years. Hope it helps.

What kind of adhesive did you use to fasten the magnet side to the window?

Looks like a very clean install.

I see the Ademco contacts you used are not available the replacement part # 943WG-WH

The contacts come with an adhesive on them. I haven't had one fall off yet.
