This was a DIY install (no guarantees, use examples at your own risk) of a 3 zone system on an existing HVAC heat pump system. The installation included and EcoJay 4 zone panel, a barometric bypass control activating the damper on a new bypass duct, 3 dampers on accessible ducting and 4 register dampers where the ducting was not accessible, 3 Nest thermostats, and a Fastat 1000 to allow the install of one of the Nests when only 5 wires were available to one of the existing thermostat locations.
The system provides separate HVAC control to a common area and to each of two bedrooms in the downstairs section of the house.
The picture shows the EcoJay Zone Panel with barometric bypass controller and a Faststat 1000 installed in an Elk cabinet. The Eco switch allows the system to be controlled from a single thermostat on Zone 1. This switch is wired in paralled to an Elk output expander (a relay board) so that the system can be controlled by the security system.
