Harmony Remote - transferring "programming" from one remote to a new one

I have a Harmony 659 remote that has suffered from overuse. (they keys don't all work anymore). I have ordered another H659 to replace it..... and would like to "copy" the programming from the old remote to the new one.

I no longer have the software loaded on the PC that did the original programming.

Is there a way to "backup" the old unit to the computer and reload onto the new device?

Hi,

The programming for Harmony remotes is actually stored on the Internet. When you run the programming software it asks you to log in to your account and it then accesses your configuration from there. In the software there is an option to replace a remote that should transfer the set up for you simply by allowing you to plug in your new remote.
