Possible or not?

I have three-wire (red, white, black) Kidde smoke detectors in my house. Is there any way to tap into those detectors to supervise them with my M1Gold? Or is that something unthinkable because they were not designed for that use?

Kidde makes a relay for interconnected smokes. I posted it in another thread last week. Do a search for smoke relay.
