ISY 99i controller for Insteon

You didn't answer the question posted.

If there are modules purchased for it the value would be higher for a trade-in.

In the Help Tab. About choice. It should list any added optional modules installed.
Though I am not sure if you are poweing it up and didn't have a PLM on it. In the safe mode it maybe limited to what it shows.

So, have to ask... If this was upgraded to a 994, will UDI allow it to be updated, use their modules, etc. I had to agree not to sell mine to get the upgrade price., and as I recall they are unique serial numbers that UDI can see when attempting to update them. Of course, if never upgraded, no issue other than can't run current firmware.

If an ISY99i with added firmware modules was upgraded to an ISY994i. Using the upgrade offer. The added modules would probably be deactivated on the ISY99i and added to the new ISY994i.

This could be like the old satellite dish sales problem. You run up a bill for PPV and then disconnect it and sell it. Now the sat. company won't enable it until somebody pays the outstanding debts.

Without feedback to UDI that the 99's modules were deactivated, the unit's modules, if any, may still not be transferrable to a new 994i unit anyway. This is provided the unit was a throw-off from a previous "trade-in" and was disconnected before module disabling.

Without contacting UDI with the unit's serial number none of these possibilities will be known.
