While I normally don't mention minor software updates on the frontpage, I thought some of the new changes made this newsworthy.
[SIZE= 8pt]CQC Version 3.1 has now been posted for download. Version 3.1 is partly the usual 'major version follow up' type release that takes care of issues that didn't become apparent until everyone began upgrading, but it also adds some quite useful minor features, and one powerful major new feature. Among the more notable changes are:
The Logic Server

The logic server is a means by which you can define 'faux fields' whose values are made up from other fields in various configurable ways. You can combine fields to some boolean result, mathematically derive new fields from other field's values and so forth. Since many CQC capabilities are only applicable to field values, being able to expose these derived values as fields is extremely useful. New methods for creating derived fields will be added over time to make this component even more powerful.
