OmniLinkBridge to integrate Home Assistant, SmartThings, Node-RED

Sorry, didn't mean to imply OLB was HA specific but rather most of the audience seems to be HA users. That alone should tell me something about ST.   Am I correct in assuming that I can use OLB to link OP2 and Smartthings through the web api? Without using mqtt? I thought that was how I...

OmniLinkBridge to integrate Home Assistant, SmartThings, Node-RED

Thanks again for your help. I even tried running it on Windows again and its throwing the same error as on Raspbian. Oh well. OLB does seem more tailored to HA now and it would kill me to start over with yet another automation platform. I've been doing this for over 20 years (still have a few...

OmniLinkBridge to integrate Home Assistant, SmartThings, Node-RED

Thanks tigers. I did, several times, trying to adapt it to ST. THANK YOU! Excellent job, btw.   Unfortunately I'm trying to use the web service api approach to interact with ST since I don't use HA.   As a side note, when I ran into the conflicting ST ID's issue last year, I set up OLB (pseudo...

OmniLinkBridge to integrate Home Assistant, SmartThings, Node-RED

Would anyone be kind enough to assist with thoughts on deploying OLB on a rpi4 buster? Have been reading this topic for days and attempted every install option on git with no luck. I picked up the rpi4 for the sole purpose of running OLB. Had OLB running a year ago on windows but ran into the...

    Haiku black screen in Haiku

Can you update this thread when Apple accepts the fixed update? Too afraid to test it. Thanks.

Haiku HAIKU Slider Control missing in iOS 8.3

For those considering the update, it appears dramatically different. In addition to the white background, all of the section headers (Area, Thermostats, etc) are left aligned, looks odd. I was unsuccessful in adding a screen shot. Sorry. But the sliders do work!

Haiku HAIKU Slider Control missing in iOS 8.3

Thanks for all your hard work in bringing back the slider. It is truly appreciated. I can finally use my audio system again. Not to sound ungrateful but I've lost my black background and can't find or remember where that setting is located in Haiku.    Thanks again. Rick

Haiku HAIKU Slider Control missing in iOS 8.3

So I understand there will be no update to fix this issue unless iOS 8.4 remedies it, which seems unlikely. I can understand no one wants to invest in a major update for an end of life product - makes sense. Since my issue selfishly only concerns volume control, is it possible to substitute the...

Haiku HAIKU Slider Control missing in iOS 8.3

Can the developer post an update on plans to resolve this issue? Fast approaching 2 months and I think it to be only fair for me to ask prior to posting comments on the App Store.

    Same problem here. Frustrating.

    Haiku HAI and the iPAD

This may be a can of worms better left closed but thanks for asking. With the advent of the iPhone, iPad and iTouch it would appear that expensive, dedicated touchscreens placed throughout the home will become obsolete and since Haiku operates on these platforms independantly from 3rd party...

    Haiku HAI and the iPAD

Thanks for the quick reply. HAI does a great job of supporting the matrix switchers of the companies you list but the media management devices that must attach to them are comparatively weak: Russound - 3 streams, 320GB for $1300, HAI Music Gateway - 3 streams, 500GB for $1200, etc. Those costs...

    Haiku HAI and the iPAD

I've followed this post with great interest from the beginning. Nice work! I see this app as a method to move my OP2 from "component" status to "server" status and move my PC from server to component. IMO, the OP2 does everything "home automation" extremely well and very reliably. Unfortunately...

    OP2 and Xantech MR88

Quick question for one of the HAI reps. I've connected a Xantech MR88 to the OP2. According to the HAI website I should get status and control of Power, Volume, Source, Bass, Treble, Balance, Mute, etc. In reality, I can only see/control Power, Volume, Mute and Source but no Bass, Treble or...

    Speakers in a bathroom?

About 5-6 years ago I installed Terra speakers, one in the ceiling within the shower stall and one in the ceiling of the master bath directly above the tub. Never a glitch through thousands of showers (4 people, one shower per day each for 5-6 years). I installed the version with the dual...

"No Controller Data" on OMNI II to OPII upgrade

Interesting point. I'll check with HAI to see if maybe my console is no longer compatible with the latest OPII. Rick

"No Controller Data" on OMNI II to OPII upgrade

You're a brave man Pete, working with power in the dark. I tried connecting the console directly to the panel last night. Same result. I've sent an email to HAI yesterday to see if its worth servicing but don't expect to hear back until next week. Probably will order a new one today. I'll rent...

"No Controller Data" on OMNI II to OPII upgrade

Yes, after console setup, it goes back to "no controller data". Unfortunately, I'm sure the wiring is correct. No spare console. This is probably the first time that power has been disconnected from the console in maybe 4-5 years. I've gotten used to never having an HAI part fail so I figured...

"No Controller Data" on OMNI II to OPII upgrade

I spent the day swapping out my OMNI II for a new OPII. Very straightforward procedure. On initial power-up I only had the console connected and it repeatedly beeped as expected. At the console I am getting "no controller data". I can "4/up arrow" to ensure the console is set as console 1 and...

    Event duration logging possible?

I use a PC. In my opinion, the beauty of the HAI panel is its reliability. I'd bet that this reliability comes from not asking the panel's logic to get too complicated. But comunicating with the panel via 3rd party seems to be a challenge. Of course, this may be intentional. My home is all...
