For the touch controller I suggest using Serial for that distance. You can run it over CAT5 without boosting the signal. USB will need a good signal booster/amplifier to hit that distance.

John, I have to agree, I've been using the APC units for about six months now and they are great. The convenience factor alone makes it worth the price of admission. At $20, it’s truly a steal. Now if I could just figure out a way to integrate them with HS and ML.

wuench, It sounds like a linking issue. I've had this in the past and doing a reset to clear the links resolved it. PowerHome is a huge help in this area, it makes managing links very simple. BTW… great job on the home theater. I recall looking at your site after reading your posts on AVS.

No, the XBOX Extender doesn't work with My Movies or My Videos with VOB's. If you can do without the PVR features look at XBMC for the XBOX, it will play back virtually any media (local or network).
