    OP II Zone Loop

A loop value of 127-129 indicates a closed loop.  Depending on the overall setup of the controller, this would be an Alarm state (device is normally open, using a 1K resistor in parallel), OR, a Secure state (device is normally closed, with no resistor).   The above is just a general overview...

    UPB Smoke detector?

Just weighing in here.  I do not know of a UPB fire detector, but that is a moot point.  Even if there is one, it would not be compatible with the Omni Pro II, as the only UPB supported is for lighting.   The use of the Quik Bridge loop receiver is a good option, with the only caveat being you...

    pc access "security stamp"

Networkcrasher, I don't know if this will soothe you, but when you get to the firmware downloads, simply "right-click" on the "first" firmware file you DO want to download - this will leave that firmware checked and uncheck all of the others.  If there are others you want to download, you can...

    Omnipro II and Gas Sensors

If the detectors' C and NO terminals are not labeled with a (+) or (-), then they probably are not polarity sensitive, in which case, it doesn't matter which terminal is connected to the zone "+" or Switched 12VDC "+".  If there is a +/- reference, the "+" should go to zone "+" and the "-"...

    Omnipro II and Gas Sensors

My bad - try zone 5 or higher.  Essewntially, any zone on an Omni Pro II can support fire devices.  With that said, only zones 1-4 can support 2-wire fire devices, whaereas any other zone on the contoller (5 - 176) will support 4-wire fire devices.   When using zones 1-4,, whether using 2 or 4...

    Omnipro II and Gas Sensors

Just going to throw this out there, but have you tried movinng the wiring to Zone 4 or higher?  If no, why not try that and see if that resolves the problem.

    Need help, which eeprom upgrade

User PC Access will not allow you to connect to an Aegis controller as there are separate software applicaitons for the different OEM variants, which is the primary reason that you cannot access the controller at this time.  If you contact LS&A support as [email protected], they should...

Buttons Not Appearing on 5.7e or Snap-Link for Android

The touchscreen and Snap-Link for Android applicaiton are not dynamic, with regards to changes like adding names.  With that said:   1. For the touchscreen, simply rebooting the touchscreen should cause the new buttons to be displayed in the Buttons menu. 2. For Snap-Link, go into the settings...

    OmniStat2 Temperature offset adjustment

Just my two cents worth, but there are two things that I have found that can have an impact on accuracy:   1. Look at the thermistor on the circuit board of the tstat.  For best accuracy, the thermistor should be standing up (perpendicular to the circuit board).  I have found that they are...

    Switch no longer turns off

It sounds like the triac mechanism that performs the dimming has failed. If you call HAI Technical Support, they can confirm my suspicion and will arrange to ahve the switch replaced.

    HAI 56A00-1 wireless door sensor

As the battery begins to weaken, the transmitter would begin to send a low battery signal to the wireless receiver as part of its transmission for a trip or supervisory report, which in turn would notify the HAI controller - the HAI controller would report the low battery as a "HAD TROUBLE". A...

Omni aux zone voltage input vice contact closure

HAI controllers support the use of open collector output type devices, similar to what you are referring to. In such applications, the output of the device is connected to the "+" terminal of the zone and a 1K, 1/2 resistor is strapped across the "+/-" of the zone. The resistor provideds the...

    New board to old space

Your steps are what would be the normal course of action. The one thing I would add is that the terminal strips (4) actually snap in/out, so you should be able to leave all your wiring intact.

    "push button" zone

Trying to get some background data to assist - temporarily remove the resistor. Under Status>>Test from a console, what are the following: 1. Loop reading when the door is open? 2. Loop reading when the door is open? 3. What type of HAI controller are you using? 4. What zone is this device...

    RC-80B and PCA 3 questions

Okay, first, make sure that on the Setup tab, Account Information, that the controller type lists 3.0 in parentheses - if it does not, click on Version Override and select Controller firmware>=3.0. Go to your Automation tab and take the following steps: 1. Click on the gree + to add a block...

    Hi-Fi IR Passthrough

It's pure speculation at this point, but I suspect the remote you are attempting to use is incompatible. A quick confirmaiton of that would be to use the HAI remote that comes with the Hi-Fi. If that flashes the IR flasher, that would confirm the Hi-Fi is operational.

    Hi-Fi IR Passthrough

Three things come to mind: 1. Do you know hat kHz frequencty your remote uses? By default, the HAI RIM's use 38kHz, but can be switched to 56kHz. 2. Does the remote you are using use IR? More than 1 person (me included) has spent significant time troubleshooting, only to find the remote was...
