For sale - 60+ Insteon Switches/Controllers/Lamp Modules, etc.

Hi - Right now, I have a buyer - just working out shipping.  It's the first person that replied to the post. If, for some reason, that falls through, I'll go to the next. No - I don't want to split this up.  It's either trash or sell and ship here.   Regarding the Crestron install - I did it...

For sale - 60+ Insteon Switches/Controllers/Lamp Modules, etc.

I have a complete Crestron system now.  Just got tired of the constant failures with the Insteon switches.  My wife is happy and like the automation touches I've added....and it's pretty much 100% reliable.  That's the important thing to me now.   There are segments of people that really enjoy...

For sale - 60+ Insteon Switches/Controllers/Lamp Modules, etc.

SOLD!   Hi,   I've got a BUNCH of Insteon switches, some new, some old, some not working.   I'm contemplating just dumping it, but thought I'd offer it up here first.   I believe I have around 60 switches, keypads, lamp modules, controllers, motion sensors, etc.   Everything is sitting in a box...

    Elk M1XSP

Anyone ever use a hardware serial port splitter? If I can get the output signalling from the ELK's main port to my crestron, I can use ethernet to write back to the ELK.

    Elk M1XSP

Hi, I'm trying to do some basic intgration between my crestron system and my ELK M1 using a serial port. The problem is that I have an M1EXP attached to serial port 0. Is is possible to get the ELK to send out updates to the XSP serial ports? I'm not finding that this is possible. Thanks, W

    Which wireless

I'm planning to add some wireless sensors to my elk M1G and now I wondering which path - the GE Crystal or the Honeywell units. They appear to have a similar array of sensors. Any thoughts on which one? (I do realize there are other requirement probably needed, but perhaps wanted to get an...

    Crestron via HTTP

To my knowledge, which is not professional level, it depends on the processor. If it were a 2-series with an enet card, your could 'talk' to it, however, there would be an amount of SIMPL (or SIMPL+) programming that would be small or large depending on what you wanted the processor to do based...

    Wide angle security camera

Hi, I am trying to locate a wide angle, outdoor camera with built-in IR illumination. I have a camera that works fine, but it's 3.6mm is not quite wide enough to fully capture the area of interest. I've been doing a number of web searches, but coming up empty. Any recommendations? Thanks, W

    trending SPL

Hi, I have a desire (not really a need) to trend SPL (sound pressure level) values. While I'm aware of a commercial ways to do this for industrial engineering, I'm wondering if anyone here might be aware of a 'residential-level' way to do this. I'm particularly wondering about something that...

    The Great Thermostat Search

Well, I just bought one of the serial adapters (amazon ~$100) so I will see what I can get to work. Reviewed the sourceforge information and it looks like I should be able to get some basic functionality. We'll see... WE

    The Great Thermostat Search

Wow, okay, now we seem to be talking. I have the 9421 unit (x3) and the remote terminal box (x2). I've looked for something to talk to this for a long time now. Shows what the local HVAC contractor knows. Sounds like I can buy 2 of these serial units and be in the business of controlling...

    The Great Thermostat Search

Hmmm, I have this Honeywell model and I cannot find anything about it being controllable.....any more information on that? I got stuck with these (although they are generally nice) due to the HVAC company not wanting to use anything else. I am on a similar search to replace this unit with...

    Movie Ripping and Playback

It take forever to rip and compress to BD9 - probably 14 hrs on average. I start it at night before bed and it's done when I get home. It is on an older pentium 4 3ghz with 1G of ram - no SATA onboard, using an IDE -> SATA converter for the BR drive. I've ripped it on a newer machine (core 2...

    Movie Ripping and Playback

I am using DVDFab to rip Blu Rays. It can decrypt and compress to BD25, BD9, etc. and allow for selection of specific tracks of audio and subtitle. I am currently using My Movies and windows media center on win 7. I rip to BD9 with TrueHD track (or whatever the best track is). I am using the...
