The RP software has this functionality built in, though you will need to find your system serial number and RP code.  Hopefully it's still the default, you can get the default information from the manual - register on the ELK website as an owner if you don't already have access.

Under keypad settings, there are two options that should do what you need.    "Silent during entry delay"  "Silent during exit delay"

If you're using the touchscreen M1KPNAV you need to synchronise it.  On the keypad itself go Menu -> Next Page -> Synchronise.
