It would be nice to have a hub that can control end devices and not just more hubs like the Wink does.

Well keep in mind software isn't free to develop, so some recurring fee or upgrade cost is reasonable, but ADT has their own definition of what's "reasonable"... For the cost of the ADT system I was quoted I could replace every light switch in my house every year and still save money.

I don't pay any reoccuring cost for my Elk system, nor my integrated Zwave devices - I own them all
