Leviton VRC0P error 12

I have a small z-wave network setup to control the locks and about once a week I get it hosed with error E012. The Leviton document only lists error codes 1-10, does anyone knows what does error code 12 mean and what may be causing it? Recycling power to the vrc0p fixes the problem, but having to it all the time is really not a way for having a dependable system.
Thanks for any suggestions.

Is it happening when you try to send out a message? If so, it's a well known problem with the VRCOP. It just locks up periodically and will stop sending messages. It seems to still receive async notifications, but won't send anything outbound. At least that's the issue we've encountered. You can minimize it by slowing things down considerably and enforcing minimum outgoing message intervals, and of course always wait for acks before sending anything else.

Thanks Dean, this does seem to be the case: vrc0p can receive messages from the lock while not been able to send. It is strange that the error code is not documented by Leviton considering how frequently it occurs.
