I have 1Wire network on ethernet wire everywhere in my house, and rfxcom to monitor weather.

Like it there; did some stuff there in Frankfurt and Dusseldorf and Heidelberg.  Wife liked Heidelberg the best mostly cuz of the big castle there....

Lately here XBMC is everywhere.  I do have it talking to MythTV these days and it is working well.  Grandstream too and configured to talk to Zoneminder.
