Have you looked into surface mount sound bars? I haven't really researched them myself, but I think that solution would be much better than surface mounting in an insulated wall. That solution would be a smaller footprint than just stand alone speakers, but I would do stand alone speakers long before I did in-wall speakers.
Has anyone put in-wall speakers in a spray foam (icynene) insulated exterior wall? How did you make
