I mistook this sentence.
I haven't used HAI/Omnilink but my understanding is that it is kind of a kludge by comparison.
It's is a standard that was created by HAI and while it works it is not easy to configure.
Understood relating to Insteon I quit using it probably because of the wireless bridging. Pure power line Insteon with X10 compatibility would have been a better path. Water under the bridge these days. I do recall telling the folks off at the Insteon EHExpo booth a few years back. I was loud about what they did to Insteon at the time.
Unrelated today utilize a dual phased JVB (XTB) TW-523 emulator connected to the OP2 panel which provides my 100% X10 footprint for my Christmas decorations inside and outside of the home.
