    ekeypad displaying M1G messages

There is this nifty message second line in a M1G that can be programmed to display various messages such as: Happy Birthday, etc.   How can I make this like visible using ekeypad using the blueprint module?   Thanks!   Later edit: yes, I can add a small keypad or a full keypad view,  but all...

    Carbon Monoxide trip

Hardwired. EOL resistor is installed. For 5 years I did not have a problem with them. Not seeing them sold anymore, they are squarish, like the GE ones. Most likely GE (or DSC or Honeywell).

    M1G enrolling and elkrp

"Can't connect" as in "you shouldn't"? I can connect just fine to the M1XEP (as we speak), without enrolling it through the keypad ... That's the reason I am asking: I am seeing no negative consequences to the fact that I have not enrolled first the M1XEP through the keypad ...

    M1G enrolling and elkrp

I am not sure I am understand what you mean by this: "Yes. I would think so if you connect via serial, but besides needing a serial port expander I think I recall that only the onboard serial port can be used for RP - which must be used for the XEP." I am connecting an M1XEP to the onboard...

    M1G enrolling and elkrp

Hi, Have a few questions regarding elkrp2 (I have the latest) and the M1G control. I have noticed that there is an "enroll" button in the "upgrade firmware" message dialogue. Does this button have the same effect as enrolling through the keypad? I.e. can I enroll the M1XEP through the elkrp2...

    Elk M1G 4WTA-B sensors and RRS-MOD

So you suggest using a relay instead of the Bell/Alarm Circuit? Then isn't Figure 4 more representative? Appreciate your input in respect of an additional power supply, I am not sure I need it, but I will test the stuff and make sure it works :)

    Elk M1G 4WTA-B sensors and RRS-MOD

I have a system with 4 4WTA-B sensors on one zone wired to the M1Gold panel. That I can wire with no problem. But for the life of me I cannot figure out how to input the RRS-MOD into the picture. Instructions for wiring can be found here: http://www.systemsensor.com/products/conv/?UniqueID=48...

M1 Gold and 2-wire smoke alarms

Hi, The list of 2-wire smoke alarms that are compatible with the M1 Gold (from the manual) seems to be a tad outdated. For instance, Bosch does not produce anymore part DS282, they have renamed it to be D263. Can anybody confirm that the panel works with the new alarm part D263? Also, was...

    M1XRF2H and Ademco keyfobs

Hi, I am not seeing the Ademco 5805-6 keyfob in the list of supported wireless transmitters for the M1XRF2H. It is not a bi-directional transmitter/receiver --> therefore I was wondering why isn't it supported? Anybody tried to use one with an Elk system? Thank you, George
