Plunger

Basically a pushbutton switch. Can be either NC or NO. For example, the switch on a refrigerator that turns on the light is a NC plunger switch. When the door is opened, the switch returns to it's normal state (closed) and turns on a light in the closet. Close the door, and the light goes off.
