I currently have an Elk M1 running the security, lighting (UPB), and sprinkler system at my office building. I want to add in thermostat control so that I can set it up to bring the building to temperature when the alarm is disarmed. This will keep my tenants from messing with the thermostat and costing me extra $$.
I want to sure Im correct on the equipment I need: This is what I was thinking
ELK-M1XSLZW
Leviton VRC0P+3 (Some sites said this was discontinued. Is that true and is there a replacement part)
Honeywell YTH8320ZW1007/U Z-Wave Enabled Thermostat
From what I read the Z-wave uses the same "channels" as the UPB on elk. So I have to split it up which shouldn't be an issue. Im not using that many channels as it is.
Does all this sound ok? Thanks.
