    Motion Detection and Day/Night Cameras

    I was wondering, because I've never had day/night cameras with IR illuminators, whether the switch to night mode (IR LEDs ON) will falsely trigger motion detection software. Does anyone have this setup and can tell me if this happens?

    GE Concord (formerly ITI)

    In a new house, the builder is putting in a GE Concord alarm. I do not have any other options. At least they'll be hardwiring window and door contacts. Of course, I'm thinking about ripping it out and installing an Elk M1G after I move in, or maybe installing the Elk on the side for automation...
