I finally took a few minutes to disassemble the back plate and shine the flashlight from part of the back/side. I can see ELMRMS!!! Can the backlight be fixed somehow? I don't know how an LCD is made and I wonder if it's possible to replace a part, a board, or something else that might bring...

Can you give an example of such a sensor? This is what I need. Anything else would be overkill.

No resistor for me. From the Installation Instructions: "The hand-clap test is intended as a functional test, does not open the relay, and is not an accurate indication of detector range." Must be why you don't see any change at the panel side.

I installed one a few days ago. No problem here. Two of the wires go to a zone input. The two others are for power (I used one of the VAUX on the M1G). Sensor is configured as N/C. I think the red LED turns on only when it detects something. For example, if I clap my hands, the light will turn on.

Good for you! If I had known in time, I would've bought that used Concerto kit I saw back then. Oh well... But if ElkRMS does not support Nuvo, then it's a no-go anyway for me.

Are we talking about the utility that lets you update your cameras, links, audio? If so, version 1.1.8 works on my Windows 7 laptop.
