Hi,
I has several sachets of dielectric grease to help protect 1-wire connections to HB boards, but I'm not sure how best to use it?
Is it best to put the plug in then seal around with grease, or is some other approach better?

Hi,
Has any one here tried Plasti Dip 'Liquid Electrical Tape' for waterproofing HB (or other) PCBs? I've used it for connections, but I notice that the blurb also mentions "circuit boards".
I'll be installing the boards in an IP65 box (IP55 if I decide to drill out the drain hole) but Skye is...
I've finally got my Inspeed vortex (anemometer) and e-Vane (direction indicator) up on the mast and wires run from the mast to the computers. :)
I don't have the 1-wire board at the mast end yet, but as well as running FTP through the pipe for the 1-wire system I also ran some 6 core...
Hi,
The LCD is working fine now (displaying 1-wire weather sensor data, collected using OWFS on an ALIX 1D), but it would be nice if I could find a way to turn off the backlight. Should that be possible?
Hi,
Just got the Hobby Boards LCD Driver & the 4x20 LCD. Pluging the 2 units together then attaching that to the Channel 1 (main) socket on my 6 channel hub the LCD "lights up".
Via OWFS (v 2.7p13) I can navigate to LCD_H.
I think I should then be able to do a crude test simply using
echo...
Hi,
I'm slowly setting up a 1-wire system using owfs.
Temp, humidity and pressure are reading fine. I'm also reading a value I can interpret as a direction using an Inspeed e_Vane attached in place of the humidity chip on a T/H/S board.
The problem has come up now I have started to add in...
Hi,
The Meteohub data logger is in the process of adding a new feature to allow 'plug-in' extensions. Here's an extract from the manual describing the currently experimental feature
start extract
The generic Plug-in weather station allows to connect Meteohub to an alien weather data logging...
I'm hoping to link an Inspeed e-Vane into a 1-wire system for wind direction.
http://www.inspeed.com/wind_speed_direction/Vane.asp
It needs an input voltage of 5V, and provides an analogue output of 0-5V.
I suspect that the HVAC board might do the job of reading the output, with power...
