We made changes to the registration page to make it a lot easier and cleaned up every broken link we could find. The reason we don't include a software CD is because of all the different software options available. Also, it ensures that customers will have the most recent version of...
Scott,
Your readings seem correct. The reason that the displayed current is so high is that it is summing both CT currents and using the 120V reference voltage to calculate true power. The actual line current would be 1/2 of the displayed value (assuming a balanced load).

My apologies for the lack of response here. I have been swamped.
It appears that the Etherport device is defective. After assisting in troubleshooting, we have ship him a replacement unit.

Brian,
Every ECM-1240 has enough memory for 4,088 records. It is simply a matter of upgrading the firmware/IA software.
If you upgrade the firmware, try the auto method first. This is the one that sends the command instead of powering with the F keys down. If the F keys are used, dont hold...
We have rectangular split core CTs on order and should be here in two weeks. They were selected for use in the same type of panel you speak of. I can email you the dimentions if you wish to try to determine if it will fit your panel.

If the firmware doesn't load automatically then you will need to use method #2 (using the switches). You can't hurt anything by trying the command method.

Has anyone else had problems installing the newest IA software application? I have just tried it on a virgin Vista system and it installed OK.
I will post the exe file of the latest version. Place it in the same directory as you old version and make sure the "firm.com" is present in the...
Thanks for your patience Shawn. The new EtherBee/Etherport firmware has solved issues for other customers. The download site is:

FYI, a new ECM-1240 firmware version will soon be available which makes use of the data-logging ability.

The AUX5 requires a 20ohm burden resistor if this channel is used for energy monitoring. There are also other resistors included in case MicroCTs are to be used with CH1 or CH2.
I will be posting an application for calculating the appropriate CT settings when using Micro CTs on CH1 & CH2...
I don't know what happened..... I took the time to answer all of these questions, submitted it but don't see it anywhere? Maybe I browsed to another page before it was submitted?
