    Thanks Neuro, I have a few bags of those, working well in the garage crawlspace. Might order some D-rings or just pick up some conduit clamps for the large runs in the basement ceiling.

    Main reason for using the cat5e is that I had a few cases sitting around, it wont be used for data or baluns, but for ir repeaters, rs232, etc if needed.

    What would be the easiest way to do this? Splice it from a pc power supply? Looks like quatech now offers a version of the QSE-100D with 5v for powering external devices. (lol not that it helps unless I want to buy a new one for 12 times what this one set me back)
