Multi-speed thermostat that works with OmniPro II?

If shopping around for a new HVAC system with variable speed gas heat and AC is there a proven thermostat that will interface to the OPII? Preferably via Z-Wave. It doesn't appear any of the HAI thermostats will control multi-speed/variable speed conventional furnaces.  I know you can put these...

Serial expansion on older OmniPro II - Need 4th serial port

Hello, quick question here. I need to add a 4th serial port to an older OPII board that only has 3 serial ports on the board. I have a 10A17-1 serial expander laying around. Can I use this to connect a Vizia RF+ controller? The instructions make it sound like it's for PC access only.    My...

    HAI OPII and Telguard TG-1

Issue resolved. I didn't adhere to the old test and test again your cables. Appears there was a break on the tip wire in my test cable I was using.

    HAI OPII and Telguard TG-1

Is anyone else using a Telguard TG-1 cellular communicator with the OPII? I have several of these to install and seem to be having some issues on setup. I'm using DCM Type Contact ID but the TG1 shows no activity when the OPII attempts to communicate. I end up getting a communicator trouble...

    NVR Suggestions

Hello, I've used a lot of Avermedia's PC based NVR cards in the past and love how they work across all platforms (PC, Web, Mobile) with a great feature set, however I'm trying to get away from maintaining a PC. What's a good standalone NVR option these days for higher end residential or small...

    Haiku Space Questions/Troubleshooting/etc

Yes, I did close and reopen Space with the same results each time. Maybe something to do with it being a fire zone? As I said, when I opened Haiku it worked correctly so I know the OPII was reporting the correct status.

    Haiku Space Questions/Troubleshooting/etc

Reporting a bug in SPACE 1.10.  I had a fire alarm go off today and Space did not report the alarm correctly. Here's the scenario:   Single smoke alarm tripped in zone called "Office Smoke" connected to a HAI OPII. Space reported a Fire Alarm in Area 1. Looked at my zones and Space showed no...

Haiku Haiku is now Space, available shortly!

One issue on the audio interface. If I go to the audio popup for a particular zone and click on the source it exits the app. Does it every time. I can not change the source.  This is a Russound CAV6.6 and HAI OPII. It works fine in the last version of Haiku.

Ahh, that works. I didn't realize the swipe area was limited to just the temps icons.

    Haiku Tips on using Space

-Bug Report- The thermostat screen shows the 2 dots indicating you can swipe to the next screen but the swipe does not actually work. You can't get to the extended thermostat settings. Thermostat is an HAI RC-2000 (with humidity and dehumidify support) connected to a HAI OPII.

Haiku Haiku is now Space, available shortly!

Just download Space and playing around with it. Am I missing something or is there no way to have a status overview page like Haiku? I really liked being able to quickly see the alarm and thermostats with their statuses on a single page.

Security system for boat - Need advice

That is correct, depending on the behavior of the panel when it loses main power. Some will display/send alerts when they switch from main power to backup power which can be very annoying when it happens every time you switch power sources. Using the 12VDC to 24VAC inverter allows you to get...

Security system for boat - Need advice

Mike - 120vac and 12vdc power is available. The 12vdc is uninterrupted and the 120vac is available while at dock and via generator when not. The preferred way to run a 24vac security panel would be by using a 12vdc to 24vac power inverter. That way you have no power interruptions while switching...

Security system for boat - Need advice

Thanks for the suggestions guys. It appears a hardware solution such as 2gig or Honeywell tied to alarm.com for remote access may be the most ideal solution.

Haiku Problem connecting to IP Camera

I seem to be having a difficult time getting some IP cameras working in Haiku. These are mini-dome IP cameras that were sold both as HAI 68A111 and Brickcom FD-100's. They work fine in any other application I have tried but Haiku shows a HTTP 200 OK verify the URL points to a valid MJPEG...

    Haiku itunes control from Haiku

I was thinking about getting a Mac Mini for the purpose of running HaikuHelper and act as an iTunes server for my Russound system. How difficult is it to get Haiku to control basic functionality of iTunes such as track forward? I read in a few older posts there was some scripting issues. Is that...

New to HA, ordered a Raspberry Pi and need to pick lighting control protocol

"Can anyone recommend a particular brand of UPB switches? I've been reading a lot on the Simply Automated switches, they look good, have a lot of options, and the dimmers I would most often need can be had for ~$60 each. But I haven't found any that dim CFLs or LEDs."   HAI's HLC (Their UPB...
