After 12 years of providing 1-Wire solutions to thousands of users Hobby Boards is closing it's doors. Sales are no longer enough to keep me afloat so I have had to take work outside of Hobby Boards.   The store will continue to be open for the time being to sell out the remaining inventory but...

I would love to have an electric car. I have been tempted to do a conversion on an older car but can't find the time. My wife does drive an Escape Hybrid so that partially counts :)

I have attached a Java file that has some sample test code for our 4 Channel Hub. I have tested it in my environment and it works fine but I have not had time to test it standalone but it should be fine. What you will need is the TMEX drivers from Dallas/Maxim installed and the 1wire.jar file...

What version of OWFS are you using? Eric

Jim, You can use any terminal app (I use PuTTY) and then you just need a serial cable and an open serial port on your computer. Did you get the manual from the website? Eric

Did you have any lightning storms when it crashed? Have you tried removing the Barometer from the network and seeing if the rest of the devices work? Eric

If your solution is working then a Hub is not necessary. But the Hub can turn on a single branch at a time so that not all the branches are connected to the 1-Wire network at the same time which can reduce/eliminate reflections and lead to a more stable 1-Wire network. Eric

Thomas, It does sound like the battery is flat. It is soldered in but is not that difficult to replace. We didn't use any kind of plug because that would provide more places that could corrode and the battery should be able to last for many years. How do you have it connected? Eric
