Squiddy, I had to cut out the 2x4 behind the screen enough so that it would sit flush in the wall. I used 2x4 blocking at the top to hold it in the wall. 2x4 blocking behind 1/2 " sheetrock seems to be the perfect setback if you use the metal flanges on the top and bottom. Hope that helps. I...

Just be careful with the ebay ones. I got a camera, power supply and 100'cord, I was unhappy with the cord, it has a really thin gauge power cord, and the power supply was bad. I didn't pay a lot for the whole package so I am not that unhappy. I guess you get what you pay for. The camera is only...
