    Insteon and HAL 2000

I would have to agree with Tom. The ISY has been adopted on various levels by ELK, Home Seer, mControl, various iPhone apps and others. They understand link and database process of INSTEON very well and they make thing very easy to get a third party application to communicate with INSTEON...

    More INSTEON quality control issues!

I have made the offer on this board and other boards for people to contact me direct so I can help clear up their issues. This is not my job, but I believe in the product and even with my busy schedule I have always tried to make myself available. I am currently an employee at Smartlabs the...

    More INSTEON quality control issues!

I know I have touched on this a few times before but maybe it will help some that are reading this for the first time. The issue with the tact switch goes back over two years. The problem was identified as a tact switch other than our spec being placed into production and many switches were...

24762 (Insteon Switchlinc) has sprouted new wires

The sense wire works on a sense pulse so you can turn off the controlled switch even though the other switch is on. you would have to turn off the first switch and back on again in the event you were going to leave an existing three way switch in the mix. Steve L

24762 (Insteon Switchlinc) has sprouted new wires

The new relay switch will give the user the ability to control a seperate power source or the same as the switch power through the two red wires. You can have it switch a 120V load or maybe a 12V transformer. The only thing you need top remenber is that if you decide to control low voltage you...

    Minimizing ELK Lighting Delay

If you use your ELK and communicate with the MIXEP and talk to a device like the ISY from Universal Devices over the network rather than the serial buss ithan commands can be instant. If you are trying to talk to something other than X-10 there will be a delay because ELK sends out the X-10...

    More INSTEON quality control issues!

This is a set of files from a third party developer. I did add a excel sheet with the commands though. The info that I saw Smarthome talking about was not meant as a consumer program to alter your Smartlinc, it was for developers and people that were comfortable with some advanced applications...

    More INSTEON quality control issues!

With regards to the question of what products are i1 or i2. to the best of my knowledge all RF products are i2, Access Points, Keypad Relays, 600W dimmers, all new products that have just come out are i2. I think as of a month ago 1000W switches and maybe Keypad dimmers shipped i2. One other...

    More INSTEON quality control issues!

Tom, If you want to contact me I can pass along a third party set of files that a developer has put together that will allow you to do some customization. This is not a DIY set of files and Smarthome does not have any support for it since it is not their program. The files I have are at a...

    More INSTEON quality control issues!

If you are wondering if Smarthome sees the comments, they do. They feel that they are user-to-user forums and a place where users help users. People are always welcome to call Smarthome with questions and then come back and post what they found out. I would say that Smarthomepro is mainly...
