How do the sensors connected to the MIXN receive power? I've only installed one other system, an Ominipro, and the expansion boards for that have power outputs. I apologize if I have used improper terminology

Yes it seems to work like traditional contacts and it does seem like hard wiring is the way to go because of problems w battery life on transmitters in the wireless system.

Hi cocooners, I am working on a home w new Marvin windows with the built in lock sensors. Can these be wired in series like traditional window sensors? What about the locked/closed option? Does that require a third wire? Any information on these sensors is appreciated. Thanks!

DEL, why is doubling up conductors bad? sorry, total newb here. 

What's cutover? Also, for a run of 200' is there an ideal conductor? Maybe I can pull something else through the conduit.

My 2 cat5's do seem to be powering one of the expansion enclosures somewhat adequately. The reading on the battery from the PC access dropped quickly from 230 to 216, however, but that was with the siren sounding. I have since disconnected the siren.

I actually used 2 cat5's (8 conductors for each terminal). Each output from the altronix supplies 3.5 amps so I figured that would be plenty for my two expansion enclosures and 3 sirens. It's about 200 ft. from the Altronix to the expansion enclosures.

Normally the remote expansion units get their power locally, but those outlets aren't covered by the generator. My idea was to power them all the time from the altronix, but shortly after hooking these two expansions up to the altronix using the cat5, I started getting these declining battery...

Yeah. I called Leviton and it had to do with the programming of the thermostat itself. Super simple. I forget what the actual steps were but I just called and they walked me through it.

Yeah I just turned off the breaker. We'll see what happens when I power everything back up...I think I have it right this time

Hi guys...what is the safest way to de-energize this unit? I seem to be blowing fuses left and right when I hook up devices and/or try to de-energize the altronix. I wanted to put an on/ off switch in the ac line supplying the altronix but the boss is against that. Is simply disconnecting the...

Thanks Pete...we'll see if that worked tomorrow morning. I think you solved my problem. 

Idk for sure, but when I send the time set command with PC access it's pacific. Then it reverts to central time at some point in the middle of the night. I'll check shortly.
