Okay, so I am *still* an idiot...I never hooked up my m1 to the phone before. Now, I want to use a nextalarm abn. I am obviously making this too hard. What do I have to wire up to get this to work? Just tip/ring? wired straight into an rj-11 and plugged into the abn?

Sorry, I have not been around. Yes, I use zoneminder to control my cams remotely over the internet; I reposition them all the time. These are the BL-C10A model.

Hey, I kinda glazed over scanning through this thread, but.... My panasonic IP cams are linked to zoneminder and can be viewed directly in firefox (mozilla) which I believe is available for the N800...so that would not cost anything. They are even remotely viewable via internet...

Technically, I think cable will still offer analog service post-deadline. It's the OVER THE AIR analog service that is being discontinued. (If you are like our area, we already receive "analog" versions of OTA HD tv shows...). Cable does the digital to analog conversion for you.

What do you mean by "multiple inputs"? Do you mean "zones"? Take a look through this equipment selection at hometech...they got a nice tutorial also.

I would second this suggestion. The initial setup may be more, but once done, it would be seamless and feature-rich. You could even use wireless IP phones that you carry back and forth between homes, and they would still work with voicemail, etc. Take a look at Trixbox and/or PBX in a Flash.
