Elk Date Advanced

I searched this forum for this and didn't see anything recent...

My sprinklers came on yesterday morning which was a day early (they're programmed for W) which i found odd. When i checked the keypad, sure enough the date said Nov 10th instead of Nov 9th. I have not been in program mode for a while and the sprinler came on correctly last Saturday. So my hunch is it had something to do with daylight savings. Any one notice this?

(firmware is 5.1.24)

I have found the clock in the ELK to be slightly off over time. When i connect to it using ELK RP it fixed itself...but over the course of a few months it will get itself a few minutes behind it seems.

Anybody else notice this?

Yes the hardware clock isn't accurate at all, you need to definitely setup NTP.

This is actually the first year I DIDN'T have DST issues with the Elk :). Make sure you have the latest updates and the check the custom DST settings in the M1XEP setup.

I just noticed that my clock was exactly a day ahead as well. I have NTP setup with the M1XEP and it syncs fine. I also wonder if this happened with the DST change. Firmware is 5.1.24 as well.

FWIW -- no issues, time and date are ok, version 5.2.2.

Checked the release notes:

Version 4.6.2 and 5.2.2

"3. Resolved a problem with Daylight Savings Time being incorrect if using an M1XEP and the Natiional Time Server (NTS)."

Update your bootware and firmware!

What is your firmware out of curiosity?
