M1 Email syntax

What is the correct syntax when setting up the email on the M1 to have it send the following.

1. System time of the event?
2. In the case of a alarm which zone was Violated?

as I have it right now the emails I have it sending me are good just lacking details.

You can't...

There is no "insert zone and condition" + "insert time" formatting. It would be really nice though.

You have 16 emails which = 16 possible messages to you.

If you have less than 16 zones you want to be notified about you are good to go just put the details in the email message. More than 16... no go.

I was disappointed too. Hopefully we'll see an improvement soon. It's been requested several times in the last few years. You can search for other threads on the subject.

So what should a rule to do this look like?

Here's what I tried and it doesn't work:

WHENEVER ANY ALARM, ANY AREA TURNS ON
AND Kitchen Backdoor (Zn 25) IS NOT SECURE
THEN SEND EMAIL MESSAGE 7 TO [email protected] (Email 7)

I armed my system and then opened the kitchen backdoor. The alarm went off but no email was sent.

You think the following rule would work?

WHENEVER Kitchen Backdoor (Zn 25) BECOMES NOT SECURE
AND ANY ALARM, ANY AREA TURNS IS ACTIVE
THEN SEND EMAIL MESSAGE 7 TO [email protected] (Email 7)

I think you would want to put something like:

If kitchen door is not secure
and system is in alarm
then send email message 7

Just try swapping them.

It turns out the first example worked. The problem seems to be that the M1XEP would not send the e-mail if I was still connected to my M1G through ElkRP.
