It's the first time that this happened. I've owned this system since 2006. Few minutes ago, ELK started sending voice commands about all the window contacts becoming not secure. Then on the keypad, there was a continiuos beep(beep--bebeep.....). Nothing happens when I press any buttons. I turned off the main panel and everything was restored back to normal. What could this be?

About the outside, we are at 45F temp right now and very dry and all the trees are calm.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Which keypad model is it? I'm having a similar keypad issue right now where the stay and exit buttons don't work, but I can still disarm with it by typing in the code. I thought I had it fixed yesterday, but noticed last night when I came in from the garage that it still wasn't working.

I've had this happen occasionally too. It seemed like the M1 was rebooting itself after a problem each time. Something would happen that would make things act weird or be unresponsive, then the elk would make a clicking sound(not an output relay), and the keypads would start beeping with lost comm, then all was normal. Always seems like a crash recovery to me, but in the end everything was fine. I can repro this pretty well by playing with the keypad menus and pressing buttons too fast for a minute or so. ELK can verify what is happening, but my guess is a reboot or a data bus problem.

This is what I have. I've escalated the issue to Elk Products. I've sent the logs as well. Hopefully, I'll get a response sometime today.

This is the exact log I sent to them.
