I ran across this deal on slickdeals.net today and thought I'd pass it along. Seems pretty good and I may pick up a few myself...
You get 1000' of Cat5e in a pull box with a bonus 50 pack of RJ45 connectors. http://cgi.ebay.com/1000-Bulk-Cat5e-Cable-UTP-24-AWG-w-50-RJ45-Connectors_W0QQitemZ130341820273QQcmdZViewItemQQpt ZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item1e58fa5771://http://cgi.ebay.com/1000-Bulk-Cat5e...=item1e58fa5771 Terry This post has been edited by roussell: Nov 3 2009, 04:45 PM |

If it was my house, I'd use cat6, if pulling new cable is difficult.
Of course, depending on the use - intercoms, DA keypads, who cares, right? It's not like new equipment will require cat6, ever. Well, maybe... What connectors? Not all are created equal. You might screw yourself using crappy connectors. But I appreciate your sharing that great deal - a bunch of people will jump on it, for sure. |
