Intermatic

I wanted to mention or read about what or how this will affect those of you who use their product. They apparently are going to no longer have a consumer line. The Z-Wave or InTouch products will be phased out. So would you use other Z-Wave products from other Mfgs? Has anyone else heard this? I'm not trying to alarm folks I just wanted to learn what the next solution might be for those that would be hit by this.

With the exception of the Receptacles and Outdoor Modules, you will still be able to get any of the HomeSettings line from Wayne Dalton.

Does this possibly mean Z-Wave may be faltering, or was this just a single manufacturer loosing interest?

There are still many other manufacturers investing in Z-Wave, so I don't think it's faltering, just the company adjusting focus (economy?).

I think Z-Wave will hang in there, I also think that the economic factor is whats affecting Intermatic. Meanwhile I'll be keeping a lookout for "clearance sales"...
