Here is an alarm system offered by Sonic Alert that is guaranteed to wake up even the soundest of sleepers. How do they accomplish such a feat? Well, by incorporating an alarm clock with a 113dB extra loud alarm and a vibrating 'bed shaker'!
You place a small disk under your mattress and it will vibrate the bed when the alarm goes off. I liked it because it could potentially alert someone using only the shaker and not wake up the entire household with a loud conventional audio alarm.
